Please bring your own PC or laptop that meets the following requirements:

• Microsoft Windows
• Zip-compatible file extraction software
• Administrator rights for installing software
• USB port with removable storage access
• Ethernet port with cable
• Configured network environment (Ethernet TCP/IP)

HEIDENHAIN will not be able to provide a PC or laptop for the course.

• To understand how the following components work and interact: the HEIDENHAIN control, the drives, the position encoders, the speed encoders and the machine tool
• To become familiar with and apply troubleshooting routines and diagnostic tools on the control
• To identify the source of the error based on error messages and descriptions and to restore proper machine operation by replacing the necessary components

• Specialists in servicing, maintenance and machine commissioning

• Knowledge of NC-controlled machine tools
• A foundational understanding of electronics / electrical engineering
• Basic computer skills (Windows)
